What is AKST in EET?
Eastern European Time is 11 hours ahead
Alaska Time is on UTC−8:00 and Eastern European Time is on UTC+3:00 right now. Both are on daylight saving, so their clocks read AKDT and EEST. The gap changes during the year — see below.

When the difference changes
Alaska Time and Eastern European Time do not change their clocks on the same dates, so the gap between them is not the same all year. Most converters show only today’s figure. These are the periods ahead:
- Now – October 25, 2026Eastern European Time is 11 hours ahead
- October 25, 2026 – November 1, 2026Eastern European Time is 10 hours ahead
- November 1, 2026 – March 14, 2027Eastern European Time is 11 hours ahead
- March 14, 2027 – March 28, 2027Eastern European Time is 10 hours ahead
- March 28, 2027 – onwardsEastern European Time is 11 hours ahead
Periods shorter than a day are not listed: both zones change at 2am in their own local time, so there are a few hours on each transition date when the gap is briefly something else.

Scheduling between the two
There is no overlap between a nine-to-six working day in Anchorage and one in Athens — the gap is too wide. A call has to sit early or late for one side. Early morning in Anchorage is the usual compromise, since that is late afternoon or evening in Athens.
Eastern European Time (EEST) is used in Helsinki, Bucharest, Kyiv and Cairo
