Scheduling between the two

There is no overlap between a nine-to-six working day in Sydney and one in Lisbon — the gap is too wide. A call has to sit early or late for one side. Early morning in Sydney is the usual compromise, since that is late afternoon or evening in Lisbon.

Australian Eastern Time (AEST) is used in Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane. Queensland stays on AEST all year while the southern states move to AEDT.
