When the difference changes

Central European Time and Australian Western Standard Time do not change their clocks on the same dates, so the gap between them is not the same all year. Most converters show only today’s figure. These are the periods ahead:

  1. Now – March 28, 2027Australian Western Standard Time is 7 hours ahead
  2. March 28, 2027 – October 31, 2027Australian Western Standard Time is 6 hours ahead
  3. October 31, 2027 – onwardsAustralian Western Standard Time is 7 hours ahead

Periods shorter than a day are not listed. Each zone changes at its own local time, so on a date when both move there are a few hours when the gap is briefly something else.

Daylight saving

Central European Time

Clocks go forward one hour — 2:00 am becomes 3:00 am local time, and the zone is on CEST after that.

Australian Western Standard Time

Australian Western Standard Time stays on AWST all year, so its offset from UTC never moves.
