What is CET in PST?
Pacific Time is 9 hours behind
Central European Time is on UTC+2:00 and Pacific Time is on UTC−7:00 right now. Both are on daylight saving, so their clocks read CEST and PDT. The gap changes during the year — see below.

When the difference changes
Central European Time and Pacific Time do not change their clocks on the same dates, so the gap between them is not the same all year. Most converters show only today’s figure. These are the periods ahead:
- Now – October 25, 2026Pacific Time is 9 hours behind
- October 25, 2026 – November 1, 2026Pacific Time is 8 hours behind
- November 1, 2026 – March 14, 2027Pacific Time is 9 hours behind
- March 14, 2027 – March 28, 2027Pacific Time is 8 hours behind
- March 28, 2027 – onwardsPacific Time is 9 hours behind
Periods shorter than a day are not listed: both zones change at 2am in their own local time, so there are a few hours on each transition date when the gap is briefly something else.

Scheduling between the two
There is no overlap between a nine-to-six working day in Paris and one in Los Angeles — the gap is too wide. A call has to sit early or late for one side. Early morning in Paris is the usual compromise, since that is late afternoon or evening in Los Angeles.
Central European Time (CEST) is used in Berlin, Madrid, Rome, Amsterdam, Warsaw and Stockholm
Pacific Time (PDT) is used in San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas and Vancouver
